Tamaz Jologua

Tamaz Jologua was born in 1954 in the village of Kvemo Barghebi, near Gali, Abkhazia. In 1976 he graduated from the Philology Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi University. He worked in the Georgia Film (1978-79) and the State TV Company (1979-91). Since 1991 he is the Professor of the Journalism Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi University. Also, he is the member of the Georgian language and literature group of the National Assessment and Exams Centre.

The main areas of his study are: the 19th century Georgian journalism, literature and the history of social opinions. He is the author of over 70 articles, three books and a coursebook.

Artanuji has published Tamaz Jologua’s works: History of Georgian Journalism and The Pechora Prince.
