(1927-2006), a Georgian poet and philologist.
He graduated from the Philology Department of Sokhumi Pedagogical Institute. In 1952-1992 he lived and worked in Ochamchire, Abkhazia.
Alio Kobalia is the author of thirteen poetic collections: The White Path, Fog in the Copse, The Wild Flower, Calm Snow, A Sad Day, Blue Smoke and others. Recently his lexicological work The Megrelian-Georgian Dictionary, 1,600 pages, in two volumes, was published in Germany.
Artanuji has published his Megrelian Dictionary.
