On 26 May, 1918 Georgia declared its independence. The Democratic Republic of Georgia lasted for only 1028 days. The Democratic Republic was built by its citizens: politicians, soldiers, scholars, entrepreneurs, peasants and workers. They dealt with many interesting things and in a short period of time they accomplished a lot.

 

In this book, we will tell the story of these people and their achievements. It is our hope that these 100 stories, independent of each other, will deepen your understanding and inspire you to learn more about the First Republic of Georgia.
